What does an ALT do?
ALTs work alongside Japanese teachers to deliver English language lessons, as a vital member of the school community. ALTs eat lunch with the students, play with them on the school grounds, and participate in all-school events and afterschool clubs. Most importantly, ALTs are indispensible in facilitating the English language development of the students and providing exposure to foreign cultures.

Borderlink assists in apartment searches, banking, and visa sponsorship. We help with Japanese language study, and our staff are on call 24 hours a day in the event of an emergency. Teachers undergoe pre-placement training and periodic professional development sessions throughout the year to provide opportunities to interact with other teachers and enhance their instruction.
