Knowledge and Skill Requirements

  • Fluent in Japanese. English conversational level (desired).

  • ​​Operating knowledge of IT systems, hardware and software to effectively support and maintain operational IT activities.

  • Problem solving skills to identify the issue and provide advice to assist users in solving the problems identified.

  • Communication skills to effectively relay technical concepts to staff and telecommunication providers with diverse levels of knowledge and understanding.

Job Description:

HTM, the largest independent property management company in Niseko, Hokkaido is looking for an IT Support professional to join our IT team.

Responsible for the efficient operation of systems and functions associated with the day-to- day operations and production requirements performed within the IT area of the organisation.

 

The Role

System Maintenance, Development & Support

The position supports the IT Manager by assisting in the control and administration of the HTM IT and telecommunications environment. The position will carry out regular system maintenance and software updates and assist in the management and administration of systems and communications hardware. Across all of HTM's properties the position will maintain networks, including updating and configuring new hardware. The position will carry out installations of new programs and systems and support in the development of custom program applications and websites.

User Support

The position will provide an efficient and timely help desk service to all HTM staff by responding to enquiries and requests for assistance with the organisation's IT systems, software, hardware and equipment. Help desk facilities are provided to all property owners and guests who are experiencing internet and telephone difficulties. The position will also be involved in delivering agreed upon IT based projects based on their analysis of business need.

 

Employment Package Details

Employment Period: Year round (starting as 1 year contract)

Employment Status: Ongoing casual. There will be the opportunity to change to a full time contract after 1 year.

Expected salary: 3.6 - 4.3 million yen, potentially more for a highly skilled candidate.

Location: Niseko, Hokkaido, Japan

Working Hours: average 40 hours per week (5x 8 hour shifts)
