Job Description:

ENGLISH THROUGH DRAMA!
Simple as that...teaching English language and culture by utilising a combination of language teaching skills, coupled with theatre/acting techniques...all culminating with your students going up on stage! A fun challenge for sure!

MLS was founded in 1974 and our instructors teach via our unique, "English Through Drama" method...fun for students AND teachers! Our client base ranges from children to adults, and international corporate companies to world-renown actors and singers. Our 30 schools are situated close to mainline stations within West Tokyo, Saitama, Yokohama, Kanagawa and Chiba...no teaching in a cubical or need to wear a suit! 



POSITION BASICS:
  • SCHEDULE: Tuesdays to Saturdays (5 days per week).
  • LOCATIONS: Set Weekly rotation (avr. 3 studios).
  • WEEKLY TEACHING TIME: 25 to 27 hours max.
  • CLASS TIMES: Average start/end times 10:00/19:00.
  • CLASS SIZE: Average 6 (1 to 12 max).
  • STUDENT AGES: 1 to 15 years old.
  • MONTHLY BONUS: ¥5,000 extra for perfect attendance.
  • TRANSPORTATION: To/from work is fully reimbursed.
  • PAID VACATIONS:
    • ​9 days Golden Week;
    • 15 days summer.
    • 16 days for winter. 
    • National Holidays off.

TRAINING and SUPPORT:
Successful candidates will receive comprehensive and paid training (10 days)...so you are not just thrown in at the deep end! There are also training and support meetings every Friday morning throughout the entire year for all 1st Year instructors...so we do not abandon you either! The curriculum is set, established and effective.
