  • DRAMA: Ready to produce Play Presentations with your students!
  • TEACHING EXPERIENCE: Preferably with younger learners.
  • ENGLISH SKILLS: 100% native level speakers only.
  • VISA STATUS: Hold a current valid working visa.
  • ABLE TO START: 21st April (training from 3rd April).
  • COMMITMENT: Through to March 2019.

Job Description:

ENGLISH THROUGH DRAMA!
Simple as that...teaching English language and culture by utilising a combination of language teaching skills, coupled with theatre/acting techniques...all culminating with your students going up on stage! A fun challenge for sure!

MLS was founded in 1974 and our instructors teach via our unique, "English Through Drama" method...fun for students AND teachers! Our client base ranges from children to adults, and international corporate companies to world-renown actors and singers. Our 30 schools are situated close to mainline stations within West Tokyo, Saitama, Yokohama, Kanagawa and Chiba...no teaching in a cubical or need to wear a suit! 



POSITION BASICS:
  • AVERAGE TEACHING TIME: 5 hours min.
  • CLASS TIMES: Average start/end times 10:00/18:30
  • SALARY: 3,000 p/h + ¥5,000 per day allotment (min. ¥20,000)
  • SCHEDULE: Saturdays x36 in a school year
  • LOCATION: Set for the year at one school 
  • CLASS SIZE: Average 6  / 12 max.
  • STUDENT AGES: 1 to 15 years old
  • TRANSPORTATION: To/from work is fully reimbursed


TRAINING and SUPPORT:
Successful candidates will receive comprehensive and paid training (up to 10 days, dependent on your availability)...so you are not just thrown in at the deep end! There are also paid training and support meetings every Friday morning throughout the entire year for all 1st Year instructors...so we do not abandon you either! The curriculum is set, established and effective.
