NPO Run for the Cure Foundation is seeking an enthusiastic Awareness Program Manager, who will be responsible for all of the Foundation’s community outreach programs, including PiNK magazine publication/distribution, The Lemon Project, PiNK Beauty Party, etc.

Job Description:

PiNK magazine 

  • Plan production schedule of each issue.
  • Select, edit, translate, compose and proofread content of the magazine.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with the article contributors and advertisers.
  • Manage the production team: article contributors, translation agents, printing companies, a design team, editorial volunteers including editors, proofreaders, translators and doctors.
  • Find and contact prospect companies interested in advertising
  • Update and manage the database of subscribers and distribution points.
  • Increase the number of subscribers and distribution points
  • Prepare magazine shipping.


The Lemon Project

  • Answer inquiries about seminars and program materials.
  • Schedule and coordinate seminars with host companies and organizations.
  • Conduct seminars in Japanese and English
  • Expand the program by involving new companies and groups to join the program.
  • Update the slideshow content to the latest information.
  • Keep learning about breast cancer, latest findings, screening methods, treatment, side effects, improvements of QOL (Quality of Life), social issues the patients and survivors are facing.


PiNK Beauty Party

  • Plan the content, flow and timetable of the program with the co-organizers.
  • Recruit, assign tasks and manage volunteers.
  • Promote the program via websites and SNS, as well as at hospitals, patients/survivors groups, municipal government offices to solicit for participants.
  • Prepare collateral and necessary items for on the day of the program.
  • In charge of execution and organization of the program on the day.


Other Responsibilities

  • Compose documents to submit to the government offices and sponsors.
  • Correspond with the Foundation’s board of Trustees and Statutory Auditor.
  • Basic daily accounting, which includes petty cash management, issuance of invoices and receipts, and payment bank transfer. 
  • Recruit and supervise interns from universities.
  • Help other staff members with charity event preparation, promotion and on-the-day organization.
