Job Requirements:

Must be of native level English proficiency (both spoken and written).
  • Must have a valid work-permissible visa and any necessary associated documents (eg. work permit).
  • Japanese bank account required.
  • University degree preferred.
  • Prior teaching experience favored.
  • CELTA, TEFL or TESOL certification valued.
  • Must be comfortable using a computer.
  • Commute times in excess of 45 minutes and/or at a cost of greater than 450 yen one way are considered too far.
  • Read and agree to Gaba's Information handling policy for Applicants

Gaba is looking for experienced English instructors to start teaching in Kansai Learning Studios from May 2018!

We are currently recruiting for the following locations:
(Available positions are subject to change. Please contact our offices for specific information.) 
  • Tennoji
  • Umeda
  • Kobe
Successful candidates can expect to:
  • Teach 1-to-1 lessons 
  • Teach primarily adults with the option to teach kids or corporate lessons
  • Design your own work schedule, customizing your income
  • Work in a professional environment, Learning Studios (LS)
  • Develop teaching skills and future career
General eligibility criteria:
  • Must be of native level English proficiency (both spoken and written)
  • Availability during hours of peak operation is highly desirable
  • Must be comfortable using a computer
  • University graduates preferred
  • CELTA, TEFL or TESOL certification highly valued
  • Japanese bank account required
All successful applicants will be asked to attend 3 days of Initial Certification before starting to teach, which will be held from 10am - 7pm each day.
