Job Requirements:

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Does not have to be a native speaker but we would want someone with native-level English
  • High communication and interpersonal skills
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Minimum of 1 year of full-time recruitment or HR work
  • We are looking for someone to jump in quickly and for this reason we are not hiring internally
  • Two years of full-time work experience
  • 6 months or more remaining on your Work VISA (We can sponsor your VISA Renewal)

USEFUL ABILITIES

  • Ability to ask probing questions and uncover potential red flags from candidates
  • Ability to be patient and not respond to pressure from other people
  • Ability to be friendly and welcoming but not people pleasing
  • Ability to give feedback to candidates in a non-judgmental, but honest and caring way
  • Ability to be neutral and choose the person right for the position
  • Ability to notice the emotions of other people and respond appropriately
  • 1 year teaching experience
USEFUL WORK EXPERIENCE
  • Marketing or Surveying Experience in conducting A/B testing and marketing experience
  • Experience in a rapidly growing company and was able to keep up with the growth personally
  • Experience in meeting deadlines and managing several projects simultaneously
  • Experience in writing catch copy or ads
  • Experience as a hiring manager or interviewing people
  • Japanese language ability equivalent of N3 or N2 (preferred but not required)
  • Knowledge of Japanese or Western labor law
  • Project management experience and the ability to prioritize several projects simultaneously
    • We are growing quickly and there is always fun and challenging projects to work on

One Coin English K.K

One Coin English is the new guy on the block in the language school business. We started in 2014 with 3 people and now have rapidly grown to over 80 staff in 2018. One co-founder is from the US and the other two co-founders are Japanese. The 3 co-founders are experts in human development, marketing, and franchising. We place a high priority on hard work, health, respect, responsibility, and honesty and believe these are the keys factors for an inspiring and humble work environment. Currently, we have 6 schools located in Ikebukuro, Shinjuku, Shibuya, Kichijoji, Gotanda, and Yokohama.

BENEFITS AND PAY

  • 280,000-300,000 yen (starting pay)​​
  • Potential to make up to 320,000 yen monthly

SCHEDULE

  • 40 hours of work/day (Weekdays from 1 PM - 10 PM and Weekends from 10 AM - 7 PM)
  • Sunday - Thursday / Tuesday - Saturday / We want one recruiter available each day
  • Locations - All OCE schools - mainly Gotanda / Shinjuku / Kichijoji or Ikebukuro
 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure the hiring of good quality candidates

    • Conduct interviews and demo lesson reviews in person

    • Develop manuals and training for recruitment team on hiring

  • Ensure good communication between other departments and recruitment department
  • Ensure a constant and frequent flow of applicants into OCE
  • Develop additional channels for increasing amount of candidate
  • Manage and improve recruitment website and website SEO management
  • Manage social media accounts and job ads
 

SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct skype interviews with potential candidates
  • Screen job applications to One Coin English
