Job Requirements:

We are seeking short-term English teachers for full-time and part-time work to teach students from age 0 to adults from July 23rd to August 31st. Opportunity for a full-term contract (1 year) is possible after this period.  

Part-time teachers can work up to 28 hours per week for a rate of ¥2,500 per hour
Full-time teachers are paid at a rate of ¥250,000 salary per month

Gem School offers the following:
1. Housing allowance (except utilities) provided for short-term teachers. 
2. Travel allowance provided for those traveling from within Japan.
  • Must be a native English speaker (North America preferred)
  • Must have an associates degree or higher
  • Currently living in Japan preferred 
  • Immediate availability preferred

Gem School was founded in 1981 in Shikoku, Japan. Since our founding, we have grown to a total of 12 different school locations throughout Kagawa and Ehime prefectures. Our school is an English conversation school or "eikaiwa". We specialize in English conversation with Japanese students. Gem School teaches students of all ages through a variety of classes in a fun and engaging environment. 
LOCATION


Gem School is located in Shikoku, Japan, one of Japan's 4 major islands. We operate in several cities throughout Kagawa and Ehime prefecters. These prefectures offer a perfect combination of city-like atmosphere and an abundance of nature, scenic views, and traditional architecture. Kagawa and Ehime are the northern prefectures of Shikoku with a coastline on the Seto Inland Sea. The prefectures are surrounded by lush green mountiains, charm, and beautiful sights to explore.
