Job Description:

Berlitz Japan is accepting applications for English instructors in the Tokyo metropolitan area from applicants outside Japan who:

  • are native (or native fluent) English speakers
  • are dynamic, mature and professional
  • are culturally sensitive and have excellent organizational and communication skills
  • are looking to work for a minimum of one year
  • are interested in teaching adults as well as children
  • are already in Japan and available for in-person interviews in Tokyo
Successful applicants will teach classes on weekends as well as evening classes on weekdays. Teaching materials provided.

Full Time Instructor postitions available. For details, see this page.
Interviews will be conducted by Skype for those living outside Japan only. 
Visa support available for eligible applicants.

Hiring requirement:

All applicants must be available to attend an Instructor Qualification Program (IQP) held at the Berlitz Japan Headquarters in Aoyama, Tokyo listed below.

January 28 to February 1, 2019
February 25 to March 1, 2019

Applicants who can not attend one of these sessions will not be considered.
