Job Requirements:

We are looking for an English teacher to join our team who:

•is a Native English Speaker.

•has a B.A.

can commit to a one year contract.

•can work in a team.

•has enthusiasm in teaching students of all ages, especially children.

•has a strong sense of professionalism.

•has preferably TESOL, CELTA or TEFL or teaching experience, but not required.

•is willing to participate in our events. (Halloween, Christmas and Beer party)

Job Description:

Tokyo Passport Academy teaches adults and kids in a private language school setting. Our students range from 2 to over 70 years old. Our school offers a variety of classes for children and adults. We have about 140 students and class size ranges from 1-8 students.

Working Hours
8 working hours a day plus a 1 hour break.
The working hours are 12:30 - 9:30pm Monday through Friday and from 9:30 to 6:30pm on Saturday. On Saturday teachers start and finish three hours earlier.
One month, teachers work Monday to Friday and the following month, they work Tuesday through Saturday.


Breakdown of a teaching day
1 hour planning and preparation time
3-7 lessons a day (Most of the lessons are 50 minutes long. Some lessons are 40 or 45 minutes long.) Early afternoon classes are generally test preparation or adults. Early evening classes are primarily children and evening classes are made up of teenagers and adults.
 

Holidays
Saturdays and Sundays or Sundays and Mondays
Public Holidays,

14 days Winter holiday, 11 days Summer holiday 
(However, we may have 7 days in May, 11 days in August and 7 days during New Year holiday time in 2019.)
