Job Description:

Teach Japanese Anime and Popular Culture to International University Students from USA, Australia, and China
We are accepting applications for positions to teach Contemporary Japanese Culture (Japanese Anime and Popular Culture) in an intensive 2-week winter program at a university near Gotanda Station in Tokyo.
 
Course Description
This course is a survey of Japanese popular culture with particular topics covered as anime manga, fashion, music, art, and food. Part of the course will focus on Japanese animation within a historic and popular cultural perspective. Both anime and manga will be examined with particular emphasis on the art, culture and national and international popularity. Curriculum is not provided. The successful candidate is expected to provide rich lecture materials including selected readings and viewings with discussion and analysis from his or her own knowledge and experience.

Contract Duration
January 8, 2018 ~ January 18, 2018 (9 working days over 2 weeks)

Work Days & Hours
Monday ~ Friday. Class hours between 9:00 ~ 16:20. Total time commitment of 47 hours
36 class hours + 9 excursion hours + 2 non-teaching hours (party and graduation ceremony)
