Job Requirements:

• Business level fluency in English and Japanese required
• If English in candidates first language, must have at least TOEIC 750
• If Japanese is not the candidate’s first language, must have at least N2
• Must hold a minimum of a Master’s Degree
• Must hold a valid Japanese work visa (renewal support available)
• Must be Organized, Punctual, Diplomatic, Flexible, Friendly
• Must have strong computer literacy
• Must be able to work patiently with busy professors in a mixed cultural environment
• Preference given to candidates with experience in curriculum design, instructional design, media, editing, learning analytics, MOOC or SPOC, education technology, and/or teaching

Job description
• Contribute to the future of education by joining a team of innovators in the field
• Develop, run, and evaluate online education projects including Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) at a top tier university in Tokyo
• Manage joint education and research projects with overseas organizations in English
• Design new MOOCs and SPOCs (Small Private Online Course) by recording lectures, editing video, checking and supplementing curriculum content
• Collaborate with and act as the communication bridge between university professors, TAs, graduate students, and staff involved in projects
• Coordinate complex schedules while meeting deadlines
• Support and train Student Teaching Assistants who contribute to projects
• Carry out administrative tasks as assigned by the project director

Top tier University near Ookayama station


Working Days and Times
• Mondays ~ Fridays between 9:15 ~ 19:15 (total of 8 hours)
• 1 hour for lunch and breaks
• Occasional Saturdays and late evenings to meet deadlines
• Flex time off when working beyond contract hours

Remuneration
• ¥300,000 monthly plus excellent benefits
