CURRENT WORK VISA REQUIRED

Berry English is looking for a fun, energetic and kind teacher who loves children to join their team of educators.

Experience not necessary but the right attitude is a must.

We are looking to provide a diverse native English atmosphere for our children so we will be looking for teachers from each of the following countries:

USA
Canada
Australia
New Zealand
UK
South Africa

We will consider applicants from other countries if they have PERFECT native English and apply first by phone to assess your accent and English ability.

Job Description:

Teaching Hours:

Monday - Friday 40 hrs per week usually based on an 0800-1600 schedule.

Your main priority will be your Preschool class (full-time students, ages 2-6 attending Mon-Fri 0900-1400) but we will have to share out the other classes that occur during the week. Your salary will depend on a variety of factors including experience, ability, and availability.

Training for each of the classes and full support will be given until you are ready to take them on your own if needed.

We are looking for a new member of the team. Not a teach and go home style instructor. If you really want to teach children in a nurturing environment and gain experience in all the workings of a small school from business development to producing online video lessons and creating textbooks/materials then this is the job for you.

Preschool Job Description
Responsible for providing a safe and developmentally appropriate preschool environment for young children that complies with all relevant policies and procedures. Nurtures children, provides crafts, and instruction, and ensures students are clean and kept safe.

Primary responsibilities

  • Follow the EYFS curriculum and supplement with extra ESL literacy work.
  • Talk with parents about behavioural ups and downs.
  • Develop activities to stimulate the children.
  • Establish policies and procedures for inside and outside the classroom.
  • Become familiar with emergency procedures and protocol.
  • Clean and sterilize equipment and toys.
  • Supervise children at all times.
  • Create arts and crafts for children.
  • Comfort children in times of need.
  • Encourage children with expressions and hugs.
  • Discuss development with parents.
  • Identify problems and convene with professionals if necessary.
  • Promote literacy and early education.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy work environment.
***BONUSES***
Bonuses will be paid at the end of each term (3 per school year) based on reliability, dedication, performance and attitude. These bonuses range from nothing to a whole month's salary. Bonuses are to recognise the extra effort made on top of the basic expectations of the job. We want to keep those who go the extra mile around and show our appreciation in a tangible way.

***YouTube Video***
I'm sorry this video is from May last year as I haven't had the time to make a new one. It does contain some extra information about the school and little has changed apart from the teachers! Due to a spell of bad luck, we have to find replacement teachers as soon as possible. However, we are dedicated to finding the right people to fit into our school and that have the same attitude as us regarding early years education. I will update the video or post another as soon as I get the opportunity.
