Job Description:

Nikke Life, a company with a wide variety of nursery and kindergarten businesses across Japan, have begun to recruit for it's brand-new Kids's Duo International franchise school in Ichikawa, Chiba. Classes starting April 2019.

This is a great opportunity for local professional teachers to join at the grass roots stage of a company built on improving others.

The KDI model focuses on motivating their students by using their natural curiosity in the world around them to help them realize their unlimited potential. The daily schedule includes plenty of time for play and experiential learning and physical development through physical education. Unlike most other preschools the English teaching staff will be there right alongside their students in all classes.

As a Preschool Instructor you can expect to:
  • Plan, design and deliver English lessons, incorporating new activities, games songs etc. as necessary
  • Conduct regular evaluation of student progress, write reports and consider specific plan to help students reach their language goals
  • Be an active member of the schools staff working in close cooperation with Japanese coworkers and communicating with students’ parents/guardians
  • Assist teachers of other subjects with their classes, actively participate in physical education and other student activities, attend school event days and so on.
  • Addresses issues common to young daycare students to insure a safe and hygienic school environment
Working conditions:
  • 1 year employment contract (renewable by mutual consent with a starting salary from 3.0 million yen per year, re-signing bonus of 100,000 yen
  • Work 5 days a week (which may include some Saturdays), up to 9 hours per shift, between 7:30 AM and 20:00 PM
  • Enrollment in National Health and Pension schemes, Employment Insurance and Industrial Accident Compensation Insurance
  • Summer and end of year holidays in addition to maternity leave and paid holidays.
  • A very generous compensation based on years of professional experience
  • Up to 20,000 yen to cover transportation to and from school.


Nikke Life's screening process will consist of two interviews with the potential for a demo lesson and/or practical skills test. Further details will be provided over the course of the screening process.
