Job Description:

Preschool & Kindergarten Teachers will serve as an educator in an integrated classroom environment for children with and without developmental delays. Supervises and integrates daily and long-term planning for the classroom in collaboration with a support team and other classroom team members; assesses children?s growth and development. Provides and ensures social, emotional, physical and educational needs of children are met. Plans and executes daily activities in the classroom; develops and writes lesson plans that provide for cognitive, physical, emotional and social development of children in assigned group; implements, evaluates and communicates classroom programming, routines, policies and procedures; prepares written summaries based on curriculum and children?s daily educational experiences; implements health, safety and security processes and procedures; advises, instructs and supervises student teachers? written plans and classroom behavior; evaluates knowledge and performance competencies of students; participates in professional development activities. This position will work Monday-Friday from 8:00am-5pm.


Education and Experience:
Bachelors Degree in child development or early childhood education or an equivalent combination of education and experience required; experience in at least one of the following areas required: demonstrated classroom experience teaching children under six years, formal student teaching experience, experience working with young children with developmental delays preferred; experience creating and implementing lesson plans and managing classrooms required; ability to communicate effectively with children, and staff required
