• A strong desire to live and work in Japan long-term
• Any of the following:

・ Experience developing with a Linux and/or Windows environment

・ Experience developing with JavaScript, Python, and/or Java

・ Experience developing applications for iOS and/or Android

・ Experience building cloud services using AWS, Azure, GCP, or similar

Preferred:

• Study abroad experience in Japan
• Cultural knowledge of Indonesia, S. Korea, or Thailand a plus

The hiring company is not looking to create a business/product that will attract attention in the Tokyo metropolitan area, but rather a business/product that will be recognized around the world from a "local" perspective, allowing them to work at a high level while still being located in Sendai. They have been selected as a Future Creation Company and a Tohoku J-Startup by the Tohoku Bureau of Economy, Trade, and Industry, and are attracting attention as a driving force of local industry and as a company that will make great strides from their local region to the world.

 

Job Description

You will be involved in the development of IoT software that the company is developing in-house, including a series of automotive-related services. They are looking forward to working with you to create the services of the future.

The hiring company develops and provides a variety of services and products using its hardware know-how and software skills. In recent years, they have been playing a part in the development of products that benefit a wide range of consumers through joint development with major Japanese companies such as Sumitomo Rubber Industries, Ltd. and Autobacs Seven, Ltd. Some such services include tire pressure monitoring systems and cloud-based alcohol-level checks for enterprise applications.

Please note that successful candidates (especially those residing overseas) may be offered a probational contract, paid internship on track for a full-time offer, or another similar employment structure depending on current border policies as well as experience, qualifications, graduation date, etc.

 

Conditions

SALARY:

¥4 ~ 6.5 million/year (Based on experience)

WORK HOURS:

Flex Time w/ 1-hour break

Core: 10:00 ~ 15:00

Standard: 9:00 ~ 18:00

DAYS OFF:

Weekends, National Holidays, New Year Holiday, Summer Holiday (Obon), Paid Time Off (determined based on time at company), Special PTO (Spousal maternity leave, disaster leave, etc.), Congratulatory and Condolence Leave

OTHER BENEFITS:

Commuting allowance (up to ¥50,000/month)
