General Manager (Entry-Level)


We are seeking an entry-level General Manager to lead our fast-growing 5-year-old small enterprise with an annual turnover of over 700 mm yen and an exceptional average growth rate of over 50% since startup. As the General Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing various departments and ensuring the overall success of our organization. Your primary responsibilities will include leading and motivating a team of currently 20 staff members including managers and supervisors, managing and optimizing company performance and efficiency, monitoring KPIs, and collaborating directly with the CEO.


  • Lead, inspire, motivate, and manage a diverse team of 20 (mostly Japanese) employees, fostering a culture of teamwork and high performance.
  • Oversee and coordinate the operations of multiple departments to ensure efficient workflow and productivity.
  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve company objectives, with a focus on growth, efficiency, and profitability.
  • Monitor and assess KPIs to measure the company's performance, making data-driven decisions to improve results.
  • Collaborate with the CEO to align the company's goals and initiatives with the broader organizational vision.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry regulations.
  • Manage budgetary constraints, allocate resources effectively, and control expenditures.
  • Foster a positive working environment and maintain strong working relationships with team members and stakeholders.
  • Provide regular reports to the CEO on the company's performance, challenges, and opportunities.

  • Familiarity with sustainability practices and eco-friendly initiatives, aligning with the organic food industry's values.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing strategies, including SEO, social media marketing, and email campaigns, to drive online sales.
  • Proficiency in supply chain management and logistics to ensure the efficient delivery of organic products to customers.
  • Experience in fostering partnerships and collaborations within the organic and sustainable food network.
  • Understanding of food safety regulations and certifications relevant to organic products.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret market research and consumer behavior data to make informed decisions.
  • Multilingual skills to cater to a diverse customer base.
