  • native level English proficiency
  • experience teaching young children aged 3-6 (2+ years preferred)
  • TESOL/TEFL certification, experience in Montessori, Reggio classrooms preferred
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent preferred

Available Positions

1. Part time teacher (M/T/W/TH/F/SAT) *from 2/week

Compensation: 2,500yen-4,000yen/hr. plus transport

Contract period: 1 year renewable (2025 April-2026 March)

Details of the position:

Part time teachers will teach at both our head school and dispatched kindergarten locations. The kindergartens are all within a 30 minute commute from JR Sannomiya, in many cases less, Your day will start at one of our kindergartens. The morning classes are typically from 10am-12pm. In the afternoon, you will teach either at one of our kindergartens or at our head school from 2pm to 6pm. "times can vary depending on the day. You will receive training to teach our original curriculum.

2. Full time ALT teacher (Mondays-Fridays/weekends, national holidays off, paid holidays)

Compensation: 250,000-280,000

Contract period: 1 year renewable 2025 April-2025 March

What would your day look like?

You will be working at a kindergarten in Kobe as a full time ALT teacher. The working hours are 8:30-16:30 with a 1 hour lunch break. You will spend the morning teaching two to three 30 minute classes and spend the rest of the day with your assigned class. It will be a great opportunity to immerse yourself in the Japanese language and culture, while sharing your culture with the children.

Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging and interactive English lessons tailored for children. Create a positive and supportive learning environment. Assess student progress and provide feedback. Collaborate with other teachers and staff to enhance the educational experience. Participate in school events and activities as needed.

About Daisies Kinder International

Daisies Kinder International’s head school is centrally located in Kitano, one of the most beautiful areas of Kobe with a vibrant international community. We offer an international after school program for children aged 3-12 and also operate a dispatching service to kindergartens all around Kobe. Our company culture is centered around collaboration, creativity, and work-life balance. We have a young group of teachers and a bilingual management team. We encourage student centered learning at our head school, using Montessori and Reggio methods of learning.

Curriculum:

At our kindergarten dispatch schools, we use our original curriculum, Daisy and Noah’s Book of Words 1 and 2. The children are aged 2-6 and each class can range anywhere from 10-25 children. The curriculum is made specifically to target large classes and you will receive training prior to teaching on your own. The Japanese classroom teacher will also be present during classes to assist with the children's needs.
