Job Requirements
- Language requirements (Japanese or English level): Native English level
- Does the applicant have to be currently living in Japan or do you accept applications from overseas residents that wish to work in Japan? The applicant has to be currently living in Japan.
- Visa requirements? The applicant must have a valid working visa: Permanent, Spause or Engineer/Specialist in Humanities/International Services. We provide the teacher with the required documents to BCIS from the immigration office at renewal of his/her residence card.
- Education, licenses, certificates, physical requirements, work days/hours:
- Education=>Must have at least a bachelor's degree.
- Licenses=>If the applicant has a teaching license from U.S.A., UK, Canada, Australia or New Zealand, s/he is given JPY 30,000 teaching license allowance on a monthly basis.
- Certificates=>The school prefers the applicant with English teaching certificate such as TESOL, TEFL, etc.
- Physical requirements=>As the school focus on Physical Education through the school activities, the applicant must be healthy and physically fit. Workdays=> 8 hours a day for 5 days a week in principle

BCIS is hiring NATIVE English-speaking teachers to teach English at BCIS preschools at Setagaya, Kachidoki, Ariake, Koto, Center Minami (in Yokohama City) and Kaihin-Makuhari (in Chiba City).
Duties will be curriculum development/updating, teaching classes, dealing with students' needs and parents, and planning/managing school events. Also, before and after class time, you will meet and send off the students.
Go on field trips, and camping events and join Sports Day, Christmas, Halloween events, etc. These events are often held on a weekend. When this happens a make-up day is given in lieu.
Japanese language skills are NOT required for this position. However, having the ability to speak Japanese is an advantage to any applicant. Applicants must be native speakers of English, as well as at least college graduates with a bachelor's degree or above. Successful applicants must hold a valid residence card and visa that allows them to work legally in Japan.
Salary
- Standard initial monthly salary is JPY 280,000 if the applicant has a bachelor's degree and over 3 years of teaching experience at preschools in Japan.
- The applicant may receive JPY 280,000 if s/he has a master's degree with English education.
- The applicant may receive JPY 300,000 if s/he has a master's degree and has over 3 years of English teaching experience at preschools in Japan.
Benefits
On the top of the monthly salary, we pay the teacher's commutation allowance up to JPY 30,000 per month. Additionally, we award the teacher a perfect attendance allowance of JPY 10,000 per month when the teacher meets the perfect attendance requirement for each month. This allowance is to show BCIS appreciation to the teacher who works punctually and diligently on a monthly basis.
BCIS provides the teachers with the social insurance by contributing 50% of its monthly insurance premium.
