Action X is a fast-growing company based in Singapore that has international market presence in SE Asia and China. Action X aims to inspire and enable individuals to maximize their potential through gamification of sports and fitness training.

Action X understands the importance of technological capabilities and data science for to improve quality of human lives and allow people to unlock their potential to achieve their dreams and goals. We created a technology master plan that builds on our expertise in sports entertainment and gamification.

In view of the Covid-19 global pandemic, sporting events and way of life have greatly transformed, and it has greatly impacted Action X's core business of engaging the public with our events. Thus, Action X wants to achieve digital transformation of our offline running events to online business through the creation of online fitness app. This digital transformation will continue to allow us to address our target audience social needs which is to socialize through a large-scale sports activity.

The digital transformation by adopting new technological product will help Action X to continue delivering our services to targeted customers and to stay relevant and competitive in the sports industry.

 

Job Description

We are looking for a Product Manager with a strong technical background as well as excellent communications and management skills. You are expected to work closely with our Project Director and CEO on our Mobile App and Web App Product developments as well as supporting our IT development plans, with autonomy in shaping our future product plans

 

Responsibilities

• Work on Product development and Project management with in-house employees and external vendors.
• Function as the key point of contact for working, liaising and coordinating with all relevant stakeholders
• Manage our vendors, testing and debugging of our digital products under development to ensure quality deliverables, following defined processes of working
• Drive project discipline to document scope changes, issues and risks that affect implementation and work closely with vendors and management to determine and resolve issues associated with project implementation
• Develop metrics and reporting for features
• Handle rollout for our product in the Japanese market
• Analyze data to optimize business and operational procedures
• Advise CEO on technology and innovation
• Create a technological masterplan for innovative transformation
• Structure and plan company IT development strategies
• Have an eye for detail while keeping the big picture in mind
• Define key requirements and go deep into details as needed
• Provide IT support to the rest of the team as and when needed
• Coach and support team members

Desired Skills

• BS in Computer Science or related field
• Minimum 3+ years of experience in end-end product development
• Experience in project management and task delegation with good issue tracking skills
• Familiarity in Agile and Scrum development processes
• Experience in managing development teams
• Experience in DevOps processes
• Hands-on experience and strong understanding of the technical aspects of product development - experience with project management tools such as JIRA/Confluence, Azure DevOps, GitLab
• Ability to balance priorities and multiple-tasks
• Data analytics skills (Python, R, Excel, SQL)
• Experience of launching digital products for the Japanese market
• Fluency in English

Good to Have

• MBA degree
• Fluency in Japanese will be a plus but not necessary
• Any Project Management certification like PMP or CSM
• Experience in Mobile app development (iOS/Android)

 

Working Hours:

9:00AM to 6:00PM

The first 3 months will be a part-time basis for observation and getting to know the company operations better. Suitable candidate will be offered full-time position afterwards.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Free-lance, Intern

Salary: S$2000 - $3500/Month
