Job Description

Pals English School in Suzuka ,Mie-Ken. is looking to hire a full time native English teacher in early January to April 2021. A signing bonus is possible if the applicant can start on January 5^th2021.

Pals has been operating as an English school for over 16years within Mie prefecture. Our main office is located in Suzuka city with a branch in Kuwana,Mie prefecture.

Pals offers a variety of lessons and programs for all ages, from infants to adults. Our curriculum provides an authentic English experience for our students. Also our school focuses on making the classes enjoyable for both the teachers and the students.

Duties:

• Typical responsibilities include: Conducting English classes, collaborating on the development of teaching materials, helping to plan and participate in school events and activities (like Halloween parties and Barbeque events).
• Class Size: You can expect class sizes to be between 1-7 students.
• Working Hours: Pals has classes Monday to Saturday. Teachers will usually work 5 days a week, while being off every Sunday and 1 other day.

Weekday hours are typically 3：00pm-9：00pm.  Saturday hours are 10：00am-3:00pm with a lunch break.

Teachers may also participate in occasional special events held on Saturdays including events or parties etc.

• Traveling: We have a branch in Kuwana. We sometimes ask our teacher to go to have lessons there.

Qualifications / Requirements

• Educational level: Bachelor’s Degree
• This position is only available to Native-level English speakers who meet the highest standards of fluency.
• Japanese proficiency is not required. However, a willingness to learn is greatly appreciated. Japanese will be very useful when communicating with parents and students from time to time.

Compensation

• Starting salary of  Yen 250,000～270,000/a month
• One time bonus payment is negotiable if you are able to start in January 2021. (about ￥100,000)
