The job is rewarding as you will be directly promoting a cultural understanding and teaching English to Japan’s future generation! Your job would be two-fold: a language instructor and cultural ambassador. These two aspects are inseparable, and Interac ALTs aim to become experts in both. Your job is to be the English expert in the classroom, and you may be the main teacher, along with a Japanese teacher present to manage the class.

About Tochigi, Gunma, Ibaraki, and Saitama

The prefectures of Tochigi, Ibaraki, Gunma, and Saitama are located in the northern parts of Kanto. The region is famous for being relatively close to Tokyo but also being in the countryside.

Saitama is arguably the hub of northern Kanto, famous for it’s Edo village in Kawagoe and its famous cherry blossoms in Chichibu. If you want to live close to Tokyo and Ski or snowboard during the winter break, Nikko in Tochigi is the place for you. If you are interested in seeing the four seasons, Hitachi in Ibaraki is worth seeing. Finally, Gunma, you are bound to see many hot springs, only a day trip from Tokyo!

The ALTs of this region remain active throughout the year, enjoying the seasons and livening their rural communities. Weekend trips to Tokyo are also possible and allow for a fun experience of rural and urban Japan.

Start your application today and join Interac in Tochigi, Ibaraki, Gunma, and Saitama.
