Job Requirements

Teacher Assistant Requirements:

  • Candidates must hold a college degree.
  • Candidates must have at least three years of preschool or kindergarten teacher assistant experience.
  • Candidates must reside in Japan and hold a visa that allows them to work full-time.
  • Candidates must have a successful interview with the Principal.
  • Candidates must visit the school for a trial work day with one or two assigned classes.

Teacher Assistant Description:

The following is a general list of responsibilities for Teacher Assistants: classroom planning and preparation, classroom cleanliness and maintenance, classroom management, organization of digital photographs, diaper changing (depending on assigned age group), and assistance with cleaning common school areas.
