Job Requirements

We are mainly looking for a Native English Teacher from the UK, US, Canada, Australia, or New Zealand. In case you are from other countries, we consider applicants who graduated from recognized university. We define “recognized university” which are ranked in top 200 in recognized worldwide university ranking tables.

We are looking for an English instructor who is

You need to be able to work independently in some occasions.You need to have decent communication skills. (This does not mean you need to speak Japanese.) If you are shy, our job is not relevant for you.

You sometimes need to work at our partner kindergarten. Therefore it is essential that you need to be happy to work with the children. In addition, you need to maintain the safety of the children.

Like many companies Happy Global is concerned about COVID. Although the government does not enforce rules Japanese citizens take it upon themselves to act with utmost care. We are looking for a teacher that can appreciate this way of thinking. For example, wearing masks is still required in many places, therefore we would like to have applicants who understand the situation.

Job Description:

We currently have one full time position and some part time positions. We need the part time teachers randomly, therefore we are looking for local people to register on our part time instructor list first. Please let us know which position you are interested in.

Our headquarter is  located in Iwade, Wakayama. (half an hour by car from Kansai International Airport / the biggest city in west Japan, Osaka is about an hour away by train)

Teaching English to ages 3 years to Adult. Main work is teaching between 3 and 12 years old. We have our own program, so teaching experience is not essential but a plus. We are looking for a teacher who is willing to share your experience to encourage students to study harder with an enjoyable atmosphere.

Our Working hour is normally 8 hours / 5 days a week, however we schedule 40 hours per week.

Regarding holidays, Our scheduled days off are usually 2 days a week. We also offer 20 days paid off (they are scheduled within the year schedule) from the first year.Teaching Location:We currently have three main teaching places. We normally take you to the locations, however you may occasionally be asked to go there by yourself.

Teacher J
Teaching is done in small focused groups of students of similar levels. Applicants should be able to adapt to teaching different levels of English from entry to advanced. These different groups and different ages mean that you need to enjoy working with all ages of children. This diversity makes the job interesting and exciting and the class size means you can feel the students improving.

Flexibility and independence is also a big factor in this job. Happy Global has their own curriculum to follow, once you learn this you may have the freedom to manage some things by yourself which I find great but it also has the responsibility to make sure students practice and learn.

The location of Happy Global means that access to Osaka is very easy and you can enjoy many sights and experiences. Holidays are especially nice allowing a long time so you can visit any place you wish to go.

Teaching English to a variety of ages from small children to adults. Applicant must enjoy being around children and talking to people in a friendly, conversational manner. Lessons are enjoyable and fun.Working in a small, friendly environment allows you to experience more of Japan and it’s people than would be possible otherwise. If you have an interest in Japan and a love of teaching, this job is ideal for you!

If you are interested in Japan and Asian countries, our location is very ideal. It is possible to travel around Japan and in addition, our closest airport has a lot of LCC (low cost career / budget airline), so it is possible to fly Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong or other countries with low cost.
