Aoba-Japan Bilingual Preschool is focused on Early Childhood Education for children ages 1 to 5. Based on the idea of “be the best that you can be”, the program is designed on the intersection of “Inquiry-based Learning” and learning in a Japanese-English bilingual environment. This point of view comes from the belief in giving children an experience that will help them carry the world through the 21st century.
There are currently four campuses throughout the Tokyo area – in Harumi, Shibaura, Waseda, and Mitaka, with plans to open a campus in Nakano in April 2020.
The Harumi campus, with 10 years of experience, is a certified International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme institution. Students are not only taught English, but also including music, art, design, sports, and other extracurricular activities relevant to their daily lives.

●At least one of the following: Majored in Early Childhood Education, Teacher’s License/Qualification for Early Childhood Education, or at least two years of practical experience working in Early Childhood Education

●Fortitude, positivity, and a flexible, cooperative personality
●Ability to control risk
●Ability to tackle challenges as part of a team
●Capable of making materials for lessons, including effective use of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
*Familiarity with IB school systems is a plus
●Administering preschool classes
●Team-teaching with native Japanese staff
●Producing a curriculum that fits the age group of the class
●Conducting effective, engaging lessons for children
●Checking-in with students and their individual progress throughout the lessons
●Participating in activities outside of lessons and meetings
●Planning and helping with school events
●Depending on class size, working with 1 or 2 assistant staff that help care for the students
●Utilizing both English and Japanese bilingually during the above tasks
