Teaching English to small classes with students of all ages and abilities (predominantly children). Working days: 5 days per week (Tue-Sat). Working hours: up to 40 hours including evenings and Saturdays with the occasional special event on non-working days. The ideal candidate will be preferably seeking a long-term position.

The role is varied and challenging and we are always looking for new ways to improve the learning experience for our students. There are also opportunities to work on developing teaching materials outside of class time.

School information:

We currently provide the following courses/facilities to our students and the community:

• General English conversation classes
• English for specific purpose courses such as EIKEN, TOEIC, and TOEFL
• Contracts with local community centers
• Homestay programs and pre-homestay courses
• Self-study afterschool classroom
• Non-English courses such as calligraphy and soroban (Japanese abacus).
• Japanese staff to teach English grammar, math, and science

Job Requirements

• Strictly native English speaker only. Successful applicants will be reliable, cheerful, open-minded, self-motivated, and professional with a genuine desire to help improve our student's English ability. Applicants must be flexible in adapting to a Japanese working environment and willing to adopt and follow our teaching methodology whilst building a good rapport with students. Applicants must be educated to degree level. Overseas applicants will be considered if the above criteria is met.
