Job Description

We are hiring a Frontend Developer to work with our direct client in Shibuya-ku, Tokyo.

Job Type: Haken
Contract Duration: 3 months rolling contract; long term
Closest Station: Shibuya
<Duties and responsibilities>
-Design, development, testing of web front end and back end applications
-Co-ordinate with the users and helpdesk to investigate and resolve application issues.
-Co-ordinate with the business users and IT department to add new features or design and develop new applications.
-Identifying and optimizing performance issues and identify issues proactively.
-Be responsible for estimating work, scheduling and planning releases.

<Must Requirements>
-Must have at least 5 years of experience in IT development
-Knowledge of modern, popular JavaScript frameworks such as Angular. However, having the ability to work without them in pure JS is highly desirable
-Experience with automated building systems
-Understanding of HTML5, ES6, TypeScript
-Able to write effective, performant, reusable and expressive code in collaboration with others
-Familiarity with database technology such as MSSQL, MySQL, Oracle and DB2
-Good problem solving and troubleshooting skills

<Desired Skills>
-Experience with Node.js ecosystem
-Understanding of automated functional and unit testing libraries
-Experience with server-side languages such as Java or .Net
-B.S. Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline is preferred
