 A fun and fulfilling job teaching children (ages 6 months to 12 years old) through conversation, play, song, and game-based language teaching.

 You will be provided a work visa and furnished housing. Our kind and caring Japanese managerial staff will always be available with support for language, paperwork, and daily-life support.

  You will be trained in our teaching methods for each age group.

  Our class sizes are small with a maximum of five students.

  Support from Japanese staff is always available when requested by our teachers (through a call button) to help with students attitude and behavior and to help communicate difficult concepts.

  Our classrooms are spacious to allow for active play.

  Our school has a large collection of toys, games, and custom language activities. Our teachers are encouraged to help develop activities for our ever-growing curriculum.

  A core curriculum of reading, vocabulary, and grammar games make up the bulk of lesson planning.  Our students enjoy improving their skills through a familiar routine of games and our teachers can focus on positively motivating snd coaching them in English.  

  70 minute lessons also allow for teachers to choose motivating immersion play activities that fit the needs if each class and gives the teacher a chance to do creative lesson planning and bond with the students naturally.

  Morning lessons are toy and song-based free-play with toddlers in 90 minute lessons with our signature security and confidence building method.  Teachers can enjoy seeing the amazing results of their interactions with students as our baby to toddlers achieve a high level of English fluency all in a relaxed low pressure learning environment.

   Peak English School is very excited about teaching children well, and we believe we are developing one of the best weekly language programs  for students in Japan.  We are looking for teaching staff who will be trained and then stay with us for many years because they enjoy fulfilling work with children in an elite educational establishment.

Renumeration

Pay will range from 260,000 to 30,000 per month depending on number of lessons taught. The The employee will be paid by the lesson + a daily salary for preparation and travel time + an hourly wage for training sessions. She will be obligated to teach a minimum of 4 lessons per day 5 days per week but after training she will be able to negotiate for more lessons for a higher monthly salary.

Housing

The employee may choose one of our two housing options:

A spacious 4 room, furnished apartment: ¥60,000 plus utilities per month with no down payment.

An older, furnished, four room, two story house: ¥45,000 plus utilities per month with no down payment.

Job Requirements

Applicant must be a skilled native English speaker from a native English speaking country.

No teaching experience is required. We are seeking someone whose natural personality matches the job requirements who we will train in our teaching method.

We need someone who...

• has a bright and sociable personality

• is reliable, responsible, and dedicated to achieving a job performance of high quality

• is emotionally mature with well developed empathy skills

• is physically fit and energetic

• can have a positive attitude about being trained

• is interested in children and motivated to work with them

• can sing in pitch (basic guitar skills would also be valuable)

• would be open to staying in Hiroshima and working for PIIC for many years after being trained.

• Experience interacting with small children will be of value.

• Applicants currently living inside or outside of Japan are welcome.

Hiroshima City

Peak is in a beautiful and quiet family oriented neighborhood at the base of green mountains with wonderful hiking trails. However it is very near the center of Hiroshima City.

Hiroshima is a wonderfully sized city to live in as a foreigner.  It is big enough to have a very large and active social community of English speaking expats, yet small enough that it is very easy to connect with people and make many international and Japanese friends.
