Job Description

Yaruki Switch Group is looking for energetic and dedicated Native English teachers for our brand new Kids Duo International school in Osaka!
☆Kids Duo International: A New Approach in Education☆

Kids Duo International is a state-of-the-art bilingual kindergarten with a fully tailored curriculum of English, Japanese and Physical Education. Each day our instructors strive to provide a high level of educational programs, which ensure that our students are better equipped for years of schooling in the challenging Japanese educational system.

While Kids Duo International has a set curriculum, teachers are actively encouraged to grow and expand on these foundations to create truly unique and personalized lessons; allowing ample creative freedom to inject passion and enthusiasm into your class. No one day is the same at KDI, and you can expect to cover a broad variety of English subjects such as Reading & Writing, Numbers & Shapes, Phonics, Songs & Chants, Arts & Crafts, Show & Tell, just to name a few. By giving our students such a wide variety of programs, we are actively engaging them and enabling them to learn through different mediums.

As a bilingual International School, our students also participate in a plethora of Japanese-language classes & activities as well. This includes Music, Vocational Roleplay, and our expansive Physical Education program, the aptly named (and student-favorite) “Ninja Class.” This new and revolutionary approach to physical education focuses on the biomechanics of human movement, developed by our pioneering sister-school Ninja Nine. Native English instructors accompany their students throughout all of these programs, and are encouraged to participate as well!

Each established Kids Duo International school has over 10 native teachers and over 30 teachers in total, which means you are never alone. Native teachers form strong bonds not only with other foreigners, but also bilingual teachers or even Japanese teachers who do not speak any English. Brushing up on one’s Japanese skills, enjoying Tokyo night life, hiking, and playing Futsal or basketball are just some of the activities Kids Duo International teachers enjoy doing as a group.

We would like our instructors to see themselves as the representatives of their respective countries and act accordingly in a fun and professional manner at all times. An instructor's perspective: "Working for Kids Duo International is about making a difference in a child's life and achieving your full potential as a constructive and creative instructor!"

☆Osaka: A Brief Introduction☆

Known as Japan’s Second City, Osaka is often tragically overlooked as second fiddle to Japan’s larger, more infamous capital. But if Tokyo is the somewhat cold, impersonal, New York-esque metropolis of the North, then Osaka would be its laid-back, outgoing, and distinctly quirky counterpart to the South – and many feel that its more casual and friendly atmosphere is more conducive to making friends, chatting with locals, and enjoying the more authentic side of what Japanese culture has to offer.

Situated in the heart of Kansai, Osaka is perhaps most famous for its eclectic culinary heritage. Historically referred to as ‘the nation’s kitchen,’ visitors are often overwhelmed by the enticing smells emanating from the food carts and street vendors lining the city’s neon-lit roads and alleyways, serving up regional specialties like takoyaki and okonomiyaki. It is home to Dotonbori, one of Japan’s most famous dining and lightlife districts, and Universal Studios Japan, the massive amusement park and popular tourist destination. Japanese history enthusiasts will also enjoy visiting Osaka Castle, one of Japan’s most famous landmarks, and Shitennoji, the first shrine ever to be built by the state. Its convenient central location also provides quick access to Kyoto, Japan’s historic and cultural epicenter, and Kobe, Kansai’s scenic city of lights – well within an hour by train.
