Proven experience with small children and comfortable teaching 1-3 year olds.

Friendly and outgoing

Comfortable performing (singing and dancing)

Preferred:

Managerial experience

Japanese ability

Experience working in a daycare or preschool in Japan or abroad

Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

Job Description

Our teachers lead dynamic and interactive play-based preschool, after school and "mommy and me" classes that build children’s cognitive, social and physical skills. Designed by child development experts, our programming focuses on and supports the specific developmental milestones children are working on at their age. In addition to leading classes, teachers will be required to lead birthday parties and events.

We provide excellent paid training, support, and motivation to help you grow and succeed. Employees are thoroughly trained in the Gymboree Method of Teaching, operation of our facilities, and child development. This training requires a commitment to learn and grow, and is a long-term proposition. The official training period may last up to 2 months and ends as soon as you can teach your first class on your own.

We are currently looking for candidates who:

are confident singing and performing in front of preschool age (1-2) children and parents

have a playful and energetic personality and teaching style

enjoy playing with and teaching young children in mommy and me and drop-off setting

are team players and can share responsibilities with other staff

are willing to get involved in the non-teaching aspects of the position (admin, cleaning, marketing, training, etc.)

Typical Workday
With one hour lunch break. In addition to preparing for and teaching classes, teachers will be asked to help keep the site clean and follow-up with customers.

Workplace & Hours
Location: Global Gate, Sasashima Live station, Nagoya. 9:00am-6:00pm. or 9:30am-6:30pm.

Workdays:
5 days a week Mon-Fri or Tues-Sat, preferably Tues-Sat

Expected Start Date: As soon as possible
