Job Description
Our client, a leading manufacturer of toothpaste, is seeking a person experienced in regulatory affairs, to support its current overseas regulatory affairs officer in handling product notification procedures and applications for product approval in different countries.
Nature of the position and skills required:
The person the Company wishes to employ must be fluent in Japanese, ideally with some prior knowledge of regulatory affairs, and have business level or better English.
He or she will work closely with the overseas regulatory affairs officer, and should be able to actively read up on and develop a thorough knowledge of our technology for the products concerned, including in particular product ingredients and quality control specifications, as well as the regulatory framework which in each country applies.
Preparation of the necessary documentation for submission in English will also be necessary, requiring close communication with our manufacturing sub-contractors, while in some cases, a foreign counterpart or partner in the country concerned (for example our importer) may also be involved, requiring communication by email, and possibly in some cases direct meetings with the party concerned.
The person employed would be located at our Tokyo head office, and visits to the central research laboratory in Kasukabe may also be required.
