Job Requirements

●Currently residing in Japan
●Prefer that applicants have experience with the Reggio Emilia method of teaching, having previously taught in the Reggio Emilia method, or having undergone education in the method as a child. Lacking such background, applicants must have a high level of interest in the Reggio Emilia method overall, and be willing and able to study and teach in the Reggio Emilia method.
●Ability to create lessons where the children learn through a variety of experiences alongside each other
●Being able to be a ‘collaborator’ or ‘educational partner’ who co-learns with the student, rather than a classical lecturer
●A Team player who can share and collaborate with students and staff
●A patient professional who is understanding with students who may not understand particular topics

Job Description

●Work closely with a team of teachers to create and deliver student-driven activities and programs (e.g. arts & crafts, drama, story-telling, dance and so on)
●Communicating closely with school staff, advisers and clients
●Assisting with preparing daily student activity journals
●Supervising students on occasional off-site excursions
●Undergoing continuous professional development
●Representing the image and presentation of the school
