British Hills is a resort hotel and educational facility set in the forested Hatori National Park, Fukushima, 1000 meters above sea level. Among this 60-acre village is a Victorianesque manor house, a traditional tea room, eight guest houses and the Barracks which also accommodates guests.



What is the hourly rate of pay?
Hourly pay is 900 yen. During the summer there is a lot of opportunity to gain extra hours by offering to work in other departments. Overtime is paid at 1.25 times the regular hourly rate (1,125 yen an hour). The pay system for service staff consists of four 7-day blocks during which the aim is to work 40 hours a block. Our pay period runs from the 16th of one month to the 15th of the next with payday being the 25th of that month.

How long is the contract and is there a bonus?
The standard contract length is 6 months but can be extended to one year for service staff on Working Holiday visas. Staff who choose to extend their contract for a further 6 months will receive a pay rise, bringing their basic hourly rate to hourly rate of 1,150 yen an hour. We provide an end-of-contract bonus for all service staff. Upon completion of your initial six month contract you will be awarded a bonus of 60,000 yen. This may be taken as a cash bonus, or if you are extending your contract with us, as 10 days paid holiday. In addition, employees who extended their contract receive an end-of-contract bonus of 75,000 yen at the end of the 12-month period of employment with British Hills.

Paid holidays?
In Japan paid holidays are notoriously few in all companies. However, you will receive 5 days paid holiday for first 6-month contract in accordance with the British Hills Rules and Regulations.

Number of days off a month?
Usually 9 days during each pay.



Medical Care
We provide comprehensive medical insurance through JI. Medical aid through this company is obligatory for all British Hills staff owing to Japanese Labour Law Standards. Insurance premiums will be deducted directly from your earnings, with half the cost being covered by British Hills and the other half from your pay. Insurance cost for staff is 4,000 yen a month.]]>

<![CDATA[English Teacher for Children]]> Chibiko Land Kinshicho is a private kindergarten in Kinshicho looking for a full-time English teacher to teach 2-6 year-old children. 

Most classes are team-taught with a Japanese teacher whereas the foreign teacher would work in a support role.  Due to the age of our students, we are looking for someone who loves working with young kids and is able to make a fun and enjoyable atmosphere.

Work Hours:
The working hours are from 9 am to 6 pm Monday to Friday and one Saturday per month. All national holidays are off.  Employess are entitled to 10 sick days/year.  

Note: Summer vacation is from Aug 11-16 and Winter vacation is from  Dec 29-Jan 3. 

Salary:
The salary starts at 250,000 yen/month (but will be adjusted on ability and  experience) Transportation expense to and from Kinshicho station is covered. Our school is a convenient seven minute walk from the station.
