Role Description

This is a Full-Time On-Site Homeroom Teacher position at EDURE LCA co., LTD's LCA Kokusai Elementary located in Hashimoto, Kanagawa. LCA Kokusai Elementary is an accredited school recognized by the Japanese Ministry of Education. Homeroom Teachers work with children to help them build skills in areas such as communication, problem-solving, and creative thinking through STEAM based learning. Teachers will be responsible for creating and implementing engaging lesson plans, as well as supervising and ensuring the safety of children during school hours.

All employees work a 5-day 40 hour work week.

Job Description:

• 5 days a Week, 40 hour work week. (Mon - Fri)
• 2 Days Holiday (Sat & Sun)

1. Teaching duties:

Maintaining a homeroom class and adhering to LCA Teaching Standard and Japanese Board of Education

2. Duties include:
a. Developing instructional materials, creating lesson plans, unit plans, tests and conversation/listening activities.
b. Consistently delivering quality instruction to students with diverse needs and abilities.
c. In-house student level evaluations
d. Robotics and STEAM education
e. Spring and Summer Events, Camps, Excursions

3. Administrative Duties:
a. Attend Planning, Weekly and Daily meetings
b. Assist with school events and activities
c. Help with the school's PR department on various school promotion activities
d. Send lesson reports to families

Salary/Benefits:

• 270,000 ~ DOE (Depeding on Education & Qualification)/ month
