■Job Description

FUTU-RE Ltd. is a company with strengths in the basic technologies that make automated driving possible. Together with this, we are developing a range of services that utilize our experience in developing automated vehicles.

■Current Status of Services and Challenges

Current status of services, challenges: in collaboration with major car manufacturers and various other start-ups, we provide integrated support from design to demonstration of automated driving systems, mainly for large vehicles.

Our policy is to contribute to social issues through technology. FUTU-RE is using its experience in automated driving systems to develop the next generation of systems for the logistics industry, helping to address social issues in the logistics sector.

Based on this policy, the company is also building its own products, such as single-seater mobility and small delivery vehicles, including those in the Mobility as a Service area.

In this position, you will work with the customer to build logistics systems that are not currently in existence, from the ground up. You will therefore be able to experience a wide range of technical disciplines as well as being able to experience the entire process from the definition of requirements to service operation. In addition, you will be working with more advanced technologies and automated vehicles, as well as developing related peripheral systems.

The only challenge we face is the shortage of staff. Even though we employ a large number of people every year, thanks to the various offers and challenges we face, this remains a constant concern.

■Specific Duties

1）(1) Logistics system design

You are required to design the overall logistics system with the customer at remote and project development sites and experiment sites.

・Study of the overall architecture

・Definition of system requirements

・Definition of requirements for each function

2）Logistics system development

Remote work, at project development sites and experiment sites: you will develop logistics systems using your knowledge of web development, back/front-end development, big data, AI, image recognition, etc.

・Basic design/detailed design

・Programming (C++, Python, web-based back-end frameworks)

・Development infrastructure studies (CI/CD, DevOps, etc.)

・Big data analysis/utilization

Our Technical Capabilities

Although we are still a small company, we carry out projects for customers using technology developed through our own research and development efforts. Our technological competence is regarded highly, and we have experience of conducting experiments and developing automated driving systems together with a start-up from the University of Tokyo and a major car manufacturer.

Working time:

09:30-18:30 (discretionary labor system).

Remote work available.

Vacation/Holidays:

Weekends, public holidays and an annual paid leave system of 10 days.

Work location:

Nagoya Head Office.

This job will also feature frequent business travel.

Nagoya Office: 5 minutes’ walk from Chikusa Station on the Higashiyama Subway Line, or Kurumamichi Station on the Sakuradori Line. 5 minutes’ walk from JR Chikusa Station.
