All applicants must meet the following requirements:

1. Either A or B will be required and the applicant shall have the burden of proving the competency and the suitability for the position.

A. At least two academic papers (excluding master's theses) in language education, linguistics, or other fields related to English language education. Achievements related to language education are desirable.

OR

 B. At least three years of English language teaching experience at a high school, vocational school, language school or university, or equivalent. (TESOL, TEFL, CELTA or other certification
preferred).

2. The following requirements will also be required:

• Must be a native English speaker
• Currently hold a valid visa or permission to work (visa sponsorship is available)
• Hold a BA/BS university degree or higher and graduated 5 or more years ago.
• Have sufficient ICT skills to conduct online classes using Learning Management System and web conferencing system, and classes using PowerPoint.
• Must live in Gunma or willing to relocate before April 2024.

Job Description

ALC Education Inc., based in Ichigaya, Tokyo with branches in Osaka, Fukuoka and Nagoya, is looking for experienced native English-speaking instructors to teach part-time accredited courses at a university located in the Takasaki, Gunma Prefecture.

These are the terms for the part-time position:

-Position will start from April 1st 2024.

-Hourly rate 3,500 per hour.

• Mondays and Tuesdays - 14:20-15:50 & 16:00-17:30.
• Wednesdays – 12:40-14:10, 14:20-15:50 & 16:00-17:30.

-Transportation paid.

-Full training provided.
