職務要件

General

• Confident and experienced with a minimum of two years teaching experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability and understanding to give appropriate feedback and correction to language learners
• Willing and able to use at least a some Japanese in the classroom
• Able to effectively teach reading and listening skills as well as speaking and writing
• Appropriate work visa
• Must reside in Japan
• Must be either a native English and/or Native Japanese speaker

Online Requirements

• Intermediate computer skills with the ability and mindset to learn new technology
• A suitable quiet and professional environment with stable internet and reliable computer equipment
• Experience with online feedback and correction an advantage

Availability

• Regularly able to work* as follows for five (or more) days a week:
  • Teach one or more 50m (minute) classes at least one day a week (no minimum number)
  • *Spend 10-15m correcting homework for each student on four additional days a week

職務内容

Alpros Online is presently seeking professional teachers for Online Coaching for the following time ranges:

• Weekday evenings (18:00 – 21:50) - High demand
• Weekends (10:00 – 17:50) - High demand
• Weekdays from 10:00

What you would do:

Working closely with individual students online from your own home, you would focus on helping them improve their English and associated skills with regular 50-minute weekly lessons and set homework activities.

Students sign up for one month at a time and continue if satisfied with the classes and teacher's support.

Typical customers are looking to achieve specific test scores, preparing to live, study, and/or work overseas, or are working/studying in international environments in Japan.

Native English teachers and native Japanese with strong English abilities will focus on all four skills (reading / writing / listening / speaking).

Native Japanese teachers with lower English abilities will start focused on vocabulary and grammar before potentially moving on to all four skills.

The flexibility of the class scheduling is ideal for teachers looking to fill gaps. The homework correction can be done conveniently in downtime between other jobs or in the morning/at night.

For those already with proficient in both languages, there are excellent opportunities to add a substantial number of lessons.

Native English teachers looking to further improve their Japanese language abilities may also benefit from students looking to use Japanese in the classroom.

Materials are provided so teachers can focus on lessons and homework correction rather than preparation.

We encourage teachers from non-native English or Japanese-speaking countries to emphasize any educational background or experiences in your cover letter that demonstrate proficiency equivalent to that of a native speaker.

Student Continuity Reward:

Successful teachers effectively support and motivate students and this leads to increase compensation.

• First month with a new student: ¥10,000
• 2-3 months with the same student: ¥15,000 per month
• 4-6 months with the same student: ¥18,000 per month
• 7 or more months with the same student: ¥20,000 per month

Note: Payment is for each month of classes (four lessons) and covers the four days of homework tasks
