Job Summary:

The purpose of the IT Support role is to improve the experience of the team at Tokyo Academics and Tokyo Coding Club. The role will focus on addressing known pain points that impact our tutors, consultants and internal staff, including printing and other hardware issues. You will investigate these issues to identify the root cause and develop solutions that resolve these issues for good. Working closely with the IT Team Lead and Director of Operations, you will also work proactively to identify less visible problems, from IT security gaps to infrastructure improvements, and turn them into practical solutions.

What you will work on:

• Troubleshoot and implement long-term fixes for printers, cameras, hardware, and other IT related infrastructure
• Perform laptop refreshes, software updates, install printers, cord management and routine maintenance and network checks
• Identify IT security vulnerabilities and propose practical improvements
• Support security policy rollouts and access reviews during staff offboarding
• Research remote device locking solutions and develop a written proposal for management
• Pick up onsite- IT tasks assigned via the IT Traction meetings
• Contribute to IT process documentation

Work hours:

• 8 hours per week
• On-site at Nishi-Azabu and Futako-Tamagawa during regular business hours (10AM to 7PM JST)
