Job Summary:

As a Branch Manager at Tokyo Academics, you will be the driving force behind the successful operations of our Futako-Tamagawa branch. You will be the face of Tokyo Academics at this location, responsible for client and staff satisfaction, and growing the branch. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing organization of 150+ team members around the world and take ownership of a branch's day-to-day success and long-term growth.

This person will be working at the Tokyo Academics office in Futako-Tamagawa, during our regular business hours (10 AM – 7 PM Japan Standard Time) from Sunday to Thursday.

What you will work on:

• Manage the daily operations of the Futako-Tamagawa branch
• Act as the primary point of contact of Tokyo Academics for clients and visitors at the branch
• Ensure high levels of client satisfaction across the branch
• Foster a positive, supportive environment that drives staff satisfaction and retention
• Tracking and reporting on branch performance against CS KPIs and growth targets
• Identifying opportunities to grow the branch's presence and performance in the local market
• Work closely with internal teams from Service divisions, Sales, Marketing, etc., to drive branch growth, ensure a seamless client experience, and align local initiatives with company-wide goals
• Serve as a trusted advisor to students and families to best ensure they are set up for success academically
• Provide amazing client-facing services and provide TA services
• Work closely with our service teams to ensure a seamless customer experience
• Achieve targets and goals for client acquisitions, client referrals, and revenue
• Establish professional relationships with key clients, and become the expert on all aspects of the client relationship
• Provide additional support with upselling and cross-selling whenever necessary
• Responsible for providing strong customer satisfaction
• Work closely with the team to stay abreast on unique client interactions
• Identify opportunities to update and improve customer service procedures and make recommendations to division head

Our ideal candidate has:

• Fluent level Japanese proficiency (reading/writing/speaking)
• Business level English proficiency (reading/writing/speaking)
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Basic technology proficiency
• Experience leading clients or customers through basic sales techniques such as understanding their needs, discovering new opportunities, and overcoming challenges
• Ability or willingness to learn to use CRM and incorporate best practices
• Proven track record of building relationships with various personalities and backgrounds
• A friendly, approachable demeanor; comfortable being the face of Tokyo Academics at the branch
• Experience managing or leading people
• Experience in teaching

Work hours:

• 40 hours / week, Sunday to Thursday
• Working in-person from Sunday to Thursday, 10AM to 7PM Japan Standard Time
