About Tokyo Coding Club:
Tokyo Coding Club (TCC) is Tokyo’s leading STEM education center, offering after-school and weekend coding, robotics, and digital arts lessons to kids aged 5-18. We serve students in person at our Nishi-Azabu and Futako-Tamagawa centers, and around the world through our online lessons. Our mission is to provide students with fun, meaningful experiences that develop their tech and life skills, and we are looking for motivated educators and tech professionals to help our students achieve their learning goals!

What You’ll Do:

• Teach tech to students aged 5-18 in private lessons, group classes, and monthly workshops, both in-person and online, after school and on weekends.
• Bring your existing teaching experience into the tech world by leading lessons covering tech disciplines like robotics, web app/development, coding, AI/machine learning, etc., as well as popular platforms like Minecraft, Scratch, Python, Roblox, and more.
• Create lesson plans tailored to your students’ individual needs and learning goals.
• Produce written reports about your lessons for review by students’ parents/guardians.
• Guide school-aged children to learn and develop positive attitudes about tech, as well as a high level of motivation to pursue future careers in tech.

Required Qualifications:

• Has (or is currently in pursuit of) a Bachelor’s Degree or higher.
• Has at least 1 year of teaching experience at a school, learning center, cram school, coding school, or other educational setting.
• Is great at working with kids of all ages and abilities.
• Has strong written and verbal communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills to establish effective working relationships with colleagues and parents/guardians.
• Will commute to our offices in Tokyo and/or partner schools for lessons.
• Loves learning and is open to training on new technologies and platforms

Preferred Qualifications:

• Has at least 1 year of experience teaching tech lessons to school-aged children
• Has at least 1 year of work experience within their tech specialty at a reputable tech company
