1. CPA / CA (preferred)
2. BS / BA or 4-year equivalent in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or similar (required)
3. 5+ years in accounting or other applicable experience (real estate experience preferred)
4. Business-level English and Japanese (required)
5. Strong knowledge of IFRS, US GAPP preferred
6. Knowledge or interest in TMK (特定目的会社 - Tokutei Mokuteki Kaisha) is a big plus!

We are leading a search for a Financial Controller, Accounting & Finance for a US Real Estate Company with a portfolio spanning Asia-Pacific, Europe, and the USA. This is an exciting opportunity to work with an international team, and a chance to learn the ins and outs of a complex global real estate business.

業務内容 / Position & Team Highlights

• The position will be based in Tokyo and report to senior leadership in the US
• Ample room to grow at this company with locations in more than 20 countries
• Primary responsibility will be overseeing the finance and accounting strategy for the company's Asia-Pacific real estate portfolio including:
  • Supervising monthly and quarterly close process
  • Leading annual budgeting and forecasting
  • Support external audits by preparing work papers, reviewing financials, and coordinating with business partners
  • Maintaining strong controls and supporting continuous review and implementation of internal controls
  • Working with Accounting Team and Asset Managers on property status reports, leasing, OPEX, CAPEX, and expenses
  • Attend quarterly valuation meetings to contribute to the valuation process
  • Other interesting Accounting / Real Estate projects
• Flexible Hybrid Schedule: 3 days in office / 2 days WFH
