About Cambridge English
Cambridge English is a medium-sized (400+ students) English school teaching children 3-18 in Sendai, Miyagi (a city of 1.2m people just 90m from Tokyo by shinkansen).
We have a fully planned curriculum and teachers are responsible for working on and updating it. We plan lesssons as a team so there is no need to plan each class. The school has interns (university students) who help with classes and preparation.
Cambridge produces its own materials, including textbooks, workbooks, worksheets, slides, videos, audio, and games.
We have a strong junior and senior high school program including an extensive reading program and library with over 10,000 books.
There are no offsite lessons or split shifts. Teachers typically have five or fewer lessons per day and we have a non-teaching/planning day for teachers after their first year.
