About Sai Sishya International School
SSIS is a new international school, founded in March, 2017 and located in Edogawa Ward in Tokyo. We started with 3 students in kindergarten and have since grown to over 90 students. We are currently educating students from 2 years 8 months to grade 6. We emphasize multi-age classrooms, collaborative learning and teaching, and promote open, honest, professional communication within the school community.
Due to the nature of international schools in Japan, we do have rolling enrollment, but our school year starts in late August and ends in mid-July. Teachers attend inservice in mid-August to prepare for the upcoming Academic Year.
On June 24, 2020, we recently met one of our long term goals of becoming an authorized International Baccalaureate World School for the Primary Years Programme.
