職務要件

Foreign-teacher applicants should be native-level and have a good understanding of grammar, spelling, etc. A four-year university degree in any subject is required.

Ideally Japanese-teacher applicants will have  TOEIC 850 or EIKEN pre-1st level of English proficiency.

Experience is preferred, but less-experienced teachers are welcome to apply.

Visa sponsorship is not available. We are only able to enter into a contract with those who possess residency status that allows them to teach conversation English.

(Acceptable residency status includes: Engineer/Specialist in Humanities/International Services, Permanent Resident, Long-term Resident, Spouse or Child of Japanese National, and Spouse or Child of Permanent Resident, etc.)

職務内容

AEON Online Lesson is looking for enthusiastic, professional English conversation teachers to work part-time teaching adults and children.

Location: Remote. Teachers work from their homes. Students are mainly located in Japan, but may be located around the world. Lessons can only be taught from approved locations and cannot be taught from cafes, etc.

Operating Hours and Schedule: Lessons are held 365 days 24 hours. Ideally, teachers will work a minimum of 2 days a week. Work days and shift length are negotiable before the start of the contract.

Compensation: 900-1,000 yen (tax included) per 20 minutes lesson inclusive of preparation, after-class reports, etc. Taxes will be withheld.

Contract Length: 12-month contract, renewable (conditions apply).

Workshop: Compensation for workshop participation: 1,500 yen per hour. Workshops are typically conducted remotely. Workshops focus on lesson materials and methods. Less-experienced teachers are encouraged to participate in workshops.

Teaching Materials and Equipment: AEON uses a wide range of materials, both created in-house and third party. AEON will provide all necessary teaching materials online. The teachers will need to provide computer equipment (desktop, laptop, or tablet with keyboard) including suitable cameras and microphones as well as fast, reliable internet connectivity.
