職務内容

We are looking for someone who can start in September of 2026.

Part-time teaching position responsibilities:

• This is a 1-to-1 teaching position working with a wide age range of students, from young learners (6 years old) to adults (70+)
• Teach English grammar, vocabulary, and natural expressions
• Most of our lessons are provided in person, but there are some students who prefer to take their lessons online. In this case, we provide them lessons through Teams or Zoom (from our school).
• Provide special lessons like listening, news, travel, debate, etc.
• Use the school’s provided materials (training included)

Who we are

We are an English conversation school located in Jiyugaoka, a trendy town that is popular among Japanese and foreign people alike. Our school was established in 2002 and has currently over 150 students. We have students of all ages and provide them with private, one-to-one lessons. We aim to create a friendly and relaxed environment for our students. We believe that this helps our students feel comfortable when learning a new language.

Working hours

We are looking for someone who can start in September of 2026 and these times:

• All Sundays: 11:00 ~ 20:00

AND

• One or two weekdays (Monday, Tuesday or Thursday): 13:00 ~ 22:00

Note:

1. Please note that we are specifically looking for someone who can work on one or two weekdays as stated above plus Sundays.
2. The hours above may vary depending on that day’s schedule. This means that there may be days where we may ask the teachers to come a little later or leave earlier.The main reason for this is students canceling their lesson for that day, but it can also be because of severe weather conditions.

Salary

• ¥ 2,000 / hour (negotiable)

Note: The teacher will be given a raise depending on their performance and skills throughout their time working with us.
