Job Requirements

Native-level English proficiency necessary (or very highly fluent)
Currently living in Japan with a proper working visa
Bachelor degree
Prior experience working with children preferred.
Lives in a commutable area (Kamioka station on the Keikyu Line, Yokohama)
Qualifications:
Childcare Supporter certificate or Hokushi license
Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
Previous experience working with preschool-aged children in a classroom setting preferred.
Strong understanding of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with young children.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and adapt to the needs of individual children.
CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities:

Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment for preschool-aged children.
Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
Design and adapt lesson plans to meet the individual needs and interests of each child in the classroom.
Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication and collaboration.
Assess and monitor children's progress, and provide feedback to parents and caregivers through regular progress reports and parent-teacher conferences.
Encourage curiosity, creativity, and a love of learning through hands-on exploration and discovery.
Model positive behavior and social skills, and teach children conflict resolution and problem-solving techniques.
Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting classroom environment that supports learning and safety.
Stay current on best practices in early childhood education and participate in professional development opportunities to continuously improve teaching skills and knowledge.
Adhere to all licensing, health, and safety regulations, and maintain accurate records as required.
