Job Requirements
Our ideal candidate:
- Has either a degree or at least 2 years of experience in Digital Design, Video Editing, or a related field
- Is proficient with design tools like Adobe Illustrator and video editing software like Adobe Premiere Pro
- Has teaching experience either at a school, a learning centre, cram school, or another educational institution for at least 1 year
- Has strong communication and collaboration skills
- Has good interpersonal skills to establish effective working relationships with colleagues and clients
- Is willing to commute to our office or schools in Tokyo to teach
- Loves learning and is not afraid to jump into new areas of development
- Current students (Bachelors, Masters, or PhD), working professionals, and graduate students are encouraged to apply
Preferred qualifications:
- At least 3+ years of relevant experience.
- Currently working at a reputable education technology, technology company or digital arts agency.

About Tokyo Coding Club:
Tokyo Coding Club (TCC) is Tokyo’s leading after-school and weekend programming, digital design, video editing, robotics, and digital arts learning center. We serve students aged 6 to 18 at our Nishi-Azabu center and around the world through our online lessons. Our goal is to equip our students with the knowledge, skills, and mindset needed to thrive in the digital age while having fun!
What you will be doing:
- Teach students digital design and video editing using various platforms catered to students ages 6-18 in private and group classes, both in-person and online
- Demonstrate skills in Adobe Illustrator, Premiere Pro and other relevant software in a pedagogical context
- Create academic plans and lessons tailored for your students’ needs in the realm of digital design and video editing
- Produce lesson reports for consumption by students’ guardians
- Guide elementary, middle, and high school students to learn and develop positive attitudes with a high level of motivation in tech areas such as digital design, video editing, and other creative digital disciplines
