Based on the learning milestones & objectives of the Cambridge Curriculum, Laurus International School of Science is the first and only STEM school in Japan. Job Overview

Laurus International School of Science is seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic candidate to join our team of HR professionals. We are looking for someone with a strong interest in education, who’s professional ambition and experience aligns with our school’s mission to “create future innovators to change the world for the better”. The successful candidate will be a key part of the Laurus head office staff, assisting in the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices, and providing administrative support of our teaching staff.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (Native English level required, Japanese ability preferred)
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Basic knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree (Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred)At least one year of human resource experience or experience managing a team of people is preferred.

Salary:

-300,000 - 350,000 yen per month (Negotiable depending on experience and qualifications)

Working Hours:

-Monday to Friday

-8:30 to 17:30 with a one-hour break

-40 hours per week

Benefits:

-Transportation costs covered (up to 20,000 yen per month)

Holidays:

-Saturday and Sunday off

-National/public holidays off

-Annual paid leave: 5 days + school holidays (3 weeks)
