IDEAL CANDIDATE

We are looking for a confident, dedicated, and energetic teacher to fill a position in the northeast area of Tokyo (Adachi, Arakawa, Taito area). Candidates must have a university degree and two years of experience working with children and be passionate, energetic, and hard-working. A conversational Japanese ability is preferred but not required.

POSITION DETAILS

  • The workweek is Monday to Friday.
  • Paid vacation days are:
    • Saturday and Sunday
    • Public holidays
    • Summer (1 week) and winter holiday (2 weeks)
    • Flexible leave is also included.
  • The daily work schedule is 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. This includes:
    • English classes to groups of up to fourteen children aged between 3 and 6 years of age.
    • 1 hour break
  • Outside of class time, the teacher helps out as a nursery assistant.

LOCATION

There are four schools on this schedule at the following locations:

  • Asakusabashi station
  • Hikifune station
  • Kita-Ayase station
  • Nishiaraidaishi-Nishi

START DATE

  • The start date for this position is March 25th, 2024.

TRAINING

  • Initial training will be one week of training (fully paid).
  • There will also be support and training days provided throughout the year.

COMPENSATION

  • The first three months is a probation period, and the wage will be ¥280,000 per month.
  • Following probation, the wage will be ¥300,000 per month.
  • Subsequent contracts will be length-of-service based (max of ¥325,000).
  • Transportation will be reimbursed up to ¥15,000 per month.
  • Teachers will also be signed up for social insurance and pension.

RECRUITMENT PROCESS

  1. We will screen resumes to check that the minimum requirements are met.
  2. Candidates will be contacted to arrange online interviews.
  3. Following the first round of interviews, candidates will be short-listed for a second round of interviews, which may include a trial lesson.
  4. Candidates will be asked to bring their residence cards, passports, copies of qualifications, and letters of reference when attending the trial lesson.
  5. At the completion of the second round of interviews, a decision will be made.
  6. Once that final decision has been made, we will contact all candidates to inform them of the decision.
  7. The successful candidate will then meet with us again to sign employment documentation.
