IDEAL CANDIDATE
We are looking for a confident, dedicated, and energetic teacher to fill a position in the northeast area of Tokyo (Adachi, Arakawa, Taito area). Candidates must have a university degree and two years of experience working with children and be passionate, energetic, and hard-working. A conversational Japanese ability is preferred but not required.
POSITION DETAILS
- The workweek is Monday to Friday.
- Paid vacation days are:
- Saturday and Sunday
- Public holidays
- Summer (1 week) and winter holiday (2 weeks)
- Flexible leave is also included.
- The daily work schedule is 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. This includes:
- English classes to groups of up to fourteen children aged between 3 and 6 years of age.
- 1 hour break
- Outside of class time, the teacher helps out as a nursery assistant.
LOCATION
There are four schools on this schedule at the following locations:
- Asakusabashi station
- Hikifune station
- Kita-Ayase station
- Nishiaraidaishi-Nishi
START DATE
- The start date for this position is March 25th, 2024.
TRAINING
- Initial training will be one week of training (fully paid).
- There will also be support and training days provided throughout the year.
COMPENSATION
- The first three months is a probation period, and the wage will be ¥280,000 per month.
- Following probation, the wage will be ¥300,000 per month.
- Subsequent contracts will be length-of-service based (max of ¥325,000).
- Transportation will be reimbursed up to ¥15,000 per month.
- Teachers will also be signed up for social insurance and pension.
RECRUITMENT PROCESS
- We will screen resumes to check that the minimum requirements are met.
- Candidates will be contacted to arrange online interviews.
- Following the first round of interviews, candidates will be short-listed for a second round of interviews, which may include a trial lesson.
- Candidates will be asked to bring their residence cards, passports, copies of qualifications, and letters of reference when attending the trial lesson.
- At the completion of the second round of interviews, a decision will be made.
- Once that final decision has been made, we will contact all candidates to inform them of the decision.
- The successful candidate will then meet with us again to sign employment documentation.
