Job Description

Rocket English School is looking for a passionate creative full-time teacher to help teach the growing number of students at our small ambitious school. Having a warm and engaging personality, the successful candidate will teach both adults and children in group and man to man classes. The position will start from April.

ABOUT US:
Located in Yao city, just 15 minutes from Namba on the Kintetsu Osaka line, our location is home to two separate but closely linked schools: Yao English School for adults and Rocket English School for children aged 4 to 15. Rocket English School is part of a small chain of children’s English schools in Osaka and Nara prefectures.

Having been providing our services to the local community for over 15 years, we have built a reputation for quality English education for adults and children alike.

OUR APPROACH:
Our approach to both schools is to combine an enjoyable environment with effective learning. We have lesson plan frameworks for our curriculums, however we feel it is necessary for teachers to have freedom to teach in the way that best suits their character. We therefore encourage our teachers to expand upon these frameworks to develop their own original lesson ideas, games and activities. This brings teachers’ personality and passion into the classroom thereby making lessons more enjoyable for the students.

We are passionate about providing the best product possible to our students. We constantly look to innovate the lessons and services we provide. We take the best of traditional teaching methods and combine them with modern technology to provide lessons that are full of enthusiasm, enjoyment and tangible results.

ABOUT THE POSITION:

Days and Times:

Tuesday - Saturday:
Weekdays: Tue - Fri 13:30 - 21:30
Saturdays: 9:30 - 17:30

Lessons:

Adult classes - 50 minutes long, both groups (up to 6 students) or man to man classes.
Ability ranges from beginner to advanced.
Kids classes
Preschool classes - 50 minute
Elementary classes - 60 minutes
Kids classes range from 4 to 12 years old - Group classes are up to 6 students.

Classes:

46 weeks a year for adults
44 weeks a year for kids
Schools are closed for four weeks of the year; Golden Week, Obon, 2 weeks at Christmas and New Year.
Teachers can also choose 2 more vacation weeks at any time during the year.

Remuneration:

￥260,000 per month
Unemployment and Labor Insurance
All travel is reimbursed
